Soprano Junghyun Lee is a native of Daegu, South Korea. She has performed as a soloist with the Grand Opera Choir and Gimcheon City Choir since 2016. Lee is a prize winner of the Alltech Vocal Scholarship competition and sang main roles in the opera, such as Rosina in the The Barber of Seville and It’s a Grand Night for Singing! She was also a celebrated performer for the Alltech Celebration of Song series.
Lee has taught at the Centre College and the Berea College before relocating back to her home country. She also served as a music director and a choir scholar at the St. Raphael Episcopal Church. Lee holds her Doctorate from University of Kentucky under the tutelage of Cynthia Lawrence, and Performance Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
